environmental issues especially in regard to water catchments air noise ecosystems habitat and waste minimisation

The evidence required to demonstrate competency in this unit must be relevant to workplace operations and satisfy holistically all of the requirements of the performance criteria and required skills and knowledge and include achievement of the following

determine features and characteristics of natural areas

assess the ecological value of natural areas on a property

consult with neighbouring landholders local authorities and interest groups

carry out work in natural areas according to management strategies and within statutory requirements

prepare and implement management strategies

Competency requires the application of work practices under work conditions Selection and use of resources for some worksites may differ due to the regional or enterprise circumstances
